Solána Imani Rowe, more commonly known as SZA, is one of the most influential R&B artists of the 21st century. Even though she has only released one album, “CTRL,” which came out in 2017, she has released many smash hit singles and has featured with many other artists. After a five year wait for a new album, she has finally announced the arrival of her sophomore album, “S.O.S.“

SZA has been building anticipation for her new album. Back in October, she released her long awaited single “Shirt,” which had originally been teased in her “Good Days” music video released in 2021. SZA released “Shirt” alongside its music video, which teased a new song, “Blind,” which is set to be released on the album.

Prior to announcing the release date of her new album, she released a picture of the album cover on November 30th. Fans have gone to Twitter to express their excitement on SZA’s new album. One fan wrote that they are “screaming, yelling, crying, throwing up, twerking” over the news of the new album. Another fan tweeted to SZA, “you are legendary!”

SZA first announced the release of her new album on her Instagram account on December 3rd. On Twitter, she released the tracklist, consisting of 23 songs. The tracklist includes three previously released singles, “Shirt,” “I Hate U,” and “Good Days.” The tracklist also consists of features from Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. With the success of SZA’s last album, “CTRL,” “S.O.S.” is sure to be an amazing piece of work from SZA. Fans are finally getting their long awaited release, fulfilling their craving for new music.
